I have alot of PaperPort files, but no longer have the Program. PaperPort VIEWER. Online windows 95 emulator. You will need to find a computer running XP to open the max files. MAX - A file format which represents a scene in KINETIX's 3D Studio MAX. Download the Paperport Viewer, there is a Mac version, although I. ![]() Sorry to bother with this fairly obscure question, but I need your help. I have a bunch of.max files that are scans from a Visioneer scanner back when I used to use Windows. These files are probably five years old, but some of them are very important. I need a software application that can view the.max files in OS X. That way, I could save them as PDFs. I know that there is a Paperport viewer for OS Classic. But I can't seem to use that application in Classic to save as PDFs. Basically, I need to convert these files to something that can be read on OS X. I'm digging pretty deep here, I know. But if anybody has some insight or advice, I would be very grateful. Thanks for all your help. Re: Paperport /.max viewer for OS X. ![]() Posted:, 06:14 AM In article, wrote: > Hi folks. From what I see on the web (googled 'convert paperport'), you are not the first to want to covert your old files. Unfortunately you are in the same boat as all the others. Not sure what date this was posted but it may help. 'There is a half baked version of the PaperPort software (ver 5.6) finally for Mac OS X. References to this can be found on the Yahoo users group 'PaperPort Preservation Society.' This version will allow you some access to the PaperPort formatted files from an OS 9 version or PC version of PaperPort.' The group does exist!
